Scientific school and groups

The decision of the Scientific Council of KPI from February 20, 2023 (protocol No. 2) approved the founding of the scientific school “Physics of Solid State” and the modern scientific school “Physics of Solid State and Magnetic Phenomena”

Modern scientific school “Physics of Solids and Magnetic Phenomena”
The head of the modern scientific school “Physics of Solids and Magnetic Phenomena” is Prof. Oksana Gorobets.

The object of research is the propagation processes of spin waves, as well as spin-polarized current (research areas – spintronics and magnonics), transfer processes on the metal-electrolyte surface in a magnetic field (research area – magnetoelectrolysis); biomagnetic phenomena (field of research – biomagnetism). The scientific school is currently represented by 27 scientists (13 doctors of science, 7 candidates of science and doctors of philosophy).

Within the scientific school “Physics of Solids and Magnetic Phenomena”, the following scientific groups work at the Department of General Physics and Modeling of Physical Processes:

FMF-02 Condensed state magnetism (supervisor, Prof. Oksana Gorobets, Ph.D.-M.Sc.)

FMF-04 Optical, electrical and magnetic properties of wide-bandgap semiconductor materials based on SiC (supervisor, Assoc. Prof. Dariya Savchenko)

FMF-05 Optical, electrical, and magnetic properties of functional nanomaterials promising for optoelectronics and sensor technology (supervisor, Prof. Oleksiy Nazarov)

FMF-07 Dynamics and physical properties of multiparticle systems (supervisor, Prof. Vyacheslav Gorshkov)
